I’m Lavon, a survivor turned advocate. After surviving being shot four times by my husband in his attempt to kill me, I rebuilt my life with purpose.
Today, I’m an entrepreneur, international speaker, racial equity strategist, and author helping others turn their pain into power.

For more than two decades, Lavon Morris-Grant has inspired audiences across the U.S. and internationally with powerful keynote presentations, specialized trainings, and deep community work. Her mission is rooted in healing, justice, and empowerment—especially for women, families, and communities impacted by violence and inequity.

Her voice has reached global platforms. She has spoken alongside Hillary Clinton on behalf of the Americans for Gun Safety Foundation and appeared in a domestic violence Public Service Announcement with CBS Sports analyst James Brown.
Founder of MACOSH Healing Network
In 2014, Lavon founded MACOSH Healing Network, a social justice organization providing holistic, culturally specific resources to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors within the African-American community.
Through the power of the Arts and nontraditional healing methods, MACOSH supports survivors in reclaiming strength, building resilience, and finding paths to healing.
